Academic year review

This school year started in a new class. In this class, together with my classmates, we had many discussions, debates, useful and sometimes not very useful lessons. But the most impressive and special were our social studies lessons. In those lessons, we talked about patriotic topics, the work of our great national figures, and we learned to value them. One of those discussions inspired me to do the most important project of all my school years — my research called «Karen Demirchyan for Armenia.» This project helped me build my patriotic values. I believe that patriotism is the most important value I gained during these years.

Next, I want to speak about the different meetings, debates, and discussions I took part in during this school year. These are:

These projects, created by the professional teachers of our educational complex, give us the chance to explore topics that are close to our hearts. They also help us understand the views of people who have been successful in these fields and give us a clearer picture of the subject.

I also want to talk about the extracurricular activities, which I actively helped organize. With the support of our teacher Nazeli Petrosyan, we planned educational trips to the Karen Demirchyan Museum. During the visit, I, Karine Dadoyan, a 10th-grade student, acted as the tour guide. I presented Karen Demirchyan’s life, his work in politics and society, the big construction projects he led, and his important role in the development of Armenia.

This year, one part of my extracurricular educational activities was also my participation in the lectures of the “Basics of Law” course, organized by the Faculty of History at Yerevan State University.

English writing. How to persuade and influence people

Persuasion and influence aren’t about changing people against their will—they’re about inspiring others to want to change, grow, or understand. It’s not about power; it’s about connection. Want to influence someone? Start by listening. Ask questions, show curiosity, and let them feel heard. When people feel understood, they’re more willing to understand you. Be clear about what you believe, and always tell the truth. Don’t exaggerate or mislead. People respect honesty, and they can sense when you’re being genuine. And when you lead with respect, empathy, and truth—you don’t just influence people, you earn their trust.
